What is this for?
I want to first of all welcome you back to another wonderful year at MLK. I know this year will be a year of accomplishing many task and goals. During this upcoming year, I have decided to create this website because it will allow for parents and students to be closer connected with my classroom.

What makes this website different from other educational websites?
I have included things like an RSS feed that will allow for parents and students to receive updates about assignments. Most homework assignments will include a QR code. By using a QR code app, a person can connect directly to this website through their smartphone.

What does this website include?
Currently, I have two main pages besides the homepage. The first is designed to keep people updated with what is going on in the classroom. The second page is for homework, which will include the actual homework assignment along with a brief description of what is expected and when it is due. As we move throughout the year, my plan is to create other pages that will include resources and students’ work.
